Dangerous Beauty

Hand painted with marten hair brush on 8 mm Habothai silk with water- and light resistant silk colours in Gutta- and watercolor technique.

Size: 75x60cm  (30x24 inches)

The brightly colored lionfish migrated to the Caribbean and is now a threat to the reefs of Mexico. A creature that is not only a fish but also a bird with its colorful but poisonous spines that float in the water like feathers. Floating in the oceans with wings.

This painting is part of a multi-original series. I will be creating more than one version of this motif, each individually hand drawn.
