Hidden Treasure
Inspired by a Catrina, the representative of life and death in Mexican culture, an expressive work of art was created. What is this woman trying to hide? Don't we all try to hide character traits and personal shadows? How often do we wear masks to please or conform? What would happen if we presented ourselves as we really are? What do we really think? The rays with the small Japanese roses show the connection to our intuition, which allows us to shine and blossom.
Hand painted with marten hair brush on 8 mm Habothai silk with water- and light resistant silk colours in Gutta- and watercolor technique.
Size: 60 x 45 cm (24 x 17 inches)
This painting is part of a multi-original series. I will be creating more than one version of this motif, each individually hand drawn.
