Catch me if you can

Hand painted with marten hair brush on 10 mm Habothai silk with water- and light resistant silk colours in Gutta- and watercolor technique.

Size: 70x57 cm  (28x22 inches)

This artwork on silk was inspired by the movie "My Teacher Octopus". In a movie scene, the octopus plays with catching the fish. The special dynamics of the picture result from the movement of the octopus. Some of its tentacles are running, others are hovering and some are trying to catch the fish. The expression in his eyes is pure joie de vivre.

This painting is part of a multi-original series. I will be creating more than one version of this motif, each individually hand drawn.
